Marbrisa ADU
Project Overview – Multi-Unit ADU Development
- Year: 2025
- Project Name: Marbrisa ADU
Location: Huntington Park , California
This project converts an older residential property into a clean, efficient multi-unit ADU community. Several unused garages and storage areas are redesigned and rebuilt into modern living spaces that meet current building codes and improve overall site function.
Three new ADUs are created through a mix of renovation, demolition, and new construction—resulting in compact, bright, and safe homes that stay consistent with the look of the main house.
Scope of Work
ADU 1 – Storage Conversion (578 sq ft).
The old storage room is demolished and rebuilt 7 feet forward, then converted into a full residential unit with better ceiling height, updated utilities, and large egress windows—turning an unused space into a safe, code-compliant home.
ADU 2 – Second-Story Unit Above ADU 1 (458 sq ft).
A new lightweight second-story ADU is added above ADU 1, featuring an efficient layout, independent access, and exterior finishes matching the main house. Structural beams and CMU walls are reinforced to support the new floor.
ADU 3 – Parking Area Conversion (200 sq ft)
Part of the existing parking area is enclosed to create a compact ADU. Old steel doors and canopy structures are removed, and new walls form a clean, private living space that meets all safety and egress requirements.
