Terraced Nexus

This project redefines the relationship between architecture, nature, and community. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Kooche-Bagh of Shemiran, the design seamlessly integrates natural elements with built spaces to create a living environment that is both functional and poetic. The building's brick facade pays homage to the modest heritage of the region while blending harmoniously with lush greenery. Trees of varying shapes and sizes adorn the site, casting their shadows across the courtyard and evoking the comforting essence of authentic Iranian homes. The large courtyard, defined by short mesh walls, extends an open invitation to passers-by, offering a moment of respite beneath the building's shade. This design approach breaks away from conventional high-walled enclosures, emphasizing openness and inclusivity while fostering a sense of shared space and community interaction.
